The Gantry House
Whats a Gantry? In a space launch, the Gantry is the tower next to the rocket where the astronauts ride up just prior to liftoff. Its the astronaut elevator.
The Gantry house is the residential space attached to and devoted to supporting LaunchPad. It does not contol LaunchPad, but rather has representatives on LaunchPad's council (Board of Directors) alongside those of all the other SAWGs (see Our Organization).
Its unique layout has attracted the attention of experimental architects & students, and the various paintings on its walls are the contribution of at least two dozen artists, many in concert or layered, interacting with previous pieces and physical forms.
With six bedrooms theres often space openning in near future. We always prefer to have someone who's already a LaunchPad member fill a bedroom, and we try to fill rooms with project (SAWG) anchors whenever possible. Sometimes temporary spots open up while we wait for that to happen.
If you'd like to apply to be part of Gantry House, arrange a tour or just want more information, please contact the House Anchor at gantry@l-pad.com.
